Tim-E
Game Designer and C++ programmer on a time-based 2D platformer created in a student team of 4 with a game engine created from scratch
- Platform: Windows
- Game Engine: Custom Built
- Programming Language: C++
Players assume the role of the Time Interface Manipulator Build E (Tim-E for short), a robot with the unique ability to manipulate time. This 2D platformer has a full-featured combat system with the twist of time travel.
Game Flow
The game consists of a variety of different levels each showcasing something that can be done with the power of time manipulation. These different levels are brought together via a hub known as the “Lounge”. Players will advance in the game by completing different tasks while inside the different levels. While training they will collect orbs, which can then be turned in to obtain the power of doing even more astounding things with the power of time manipulation. Aside from collecting orbs, the player will be engaged in combat with various enemies via a melee combat system, which for added benefit includes different abilities when used in conjunction with the time powers.
